Leith
Leith is a vibrant port area, 19 minutes tram ride from the city centre. Lying at the mouth of the Water of Leith it feels like a different city altogether and always makes for a unique visit. With its own distinct character and architecture, it has a lively and creative vibe. You’ll find waterfront restaurants, traditional pubs, bars and coffee shops and a great atmosphere. The Royal Yacht Brittania, one of Edinburgh’s top attractions, which famously was a floating royal residence, is moored here.
Start your day with a coffee and view of the port at Williams and Johnson Coffee Co; wander around the Shore and enjoy a beer at the cosy dockside pub Teuchter’s Landing. In the evening head down to Newhaven for fish and chips at The Fishmarket.
